Abstract :
This paper presents a hardware design to detect the ´ratio of CP(cyclic prefix) time´ in the wirelessMAN-OFDM system. The wirelessMAN-OFDM or IEEE 802.16d standard specify four kinds of the CP time ratio-1/4,1/8,1/16 and 1/32. This specification requires subscriber station to find out which CP length is in use. This design is based on matched filter for the preamble structure defined in IEEE 802.16d standard. Our simulation results compare the decision error rate between the ideal mathematical model and simplified hardware design.
