  • Abstract
A unique experimental program that involves the integration of marketing research and engineering design for better product development is presented and discussed. The new multidisciplinary and integrative approach to solving real life problems at the undergraduate level addresses two goals: (a) to offer undergraduate students an opportunity to understand the process of better product development by designing their own products; and (b) to help universities enter into partnerships with local industries and government laboratories to facilitate the problem of technology transfer together
