Abstract :
A DSP-based permanent magnet synchronous motor drive for satellite reaction wheel application is established in this paper. Its current control scheme consists of a PI feedback controller, a resonant-based feedback controller and a robust tracking error cancellation controller to yield good sinusoidal winding current command tracking control. As to the speed control scheme, the feedback controller is first designed to yield the defined reference response according to the estimated nominal plant model. A simple robust speed error cancellation control scheme is used to increase the control robustness. Meanwhile, the change of reaction wheel damping is estimated using the observed disturbance for making the diagnosis of the wheel mechanical healthy condition.
