Abstract
This paper deals with an experimental study on stator and rotor faults of squirrel cage induction motors. The summaries of the harmonic of the stator currents for the starting and permanent operation qualitatively revealed the faults on motors. We also raised the vibrations of the motors by the use of an accelerometer. The accelerometer is used in several places of the motor in the azimuthally position to determine the rotor faults. It also allowed us to bring some critiques on the experimental tests and on the interpretation of our results there pertaining.
