Abstract :
A space vector predictive control system for a current controlled PWM inverter-fed AC motor drive system is presented in the article. This control system ensures the minimal number of inverter transistor switchings. The current vector controllers operating in synchronous coordinates x, y keep the current vector inside the delimiting square error area around the command current vector. The concept of operation is based on determination of optimal inverter output voltage position for any part of the borderline of the current error square area around the command current vector, depending on the motor work conditions
