Abstract
This paper reports on a BP (back propagation) neural network model to distinguish the pregnant woman by arterial pressure pulse waveform. The model can well reflect the relationship between the twenty-two characteristic parameters of a woman´s arterial pressure pulse waveform and the recognition system for the pregnant woman. The classification result shows a promising accuracy with equally well recognition rates, and can be used to assist physicians in evaluating pregnant woman. At the same time, it also provides a novel method for the examination of other illness.
