Abstract :
This paper presents analysis and design of low source current ripple high-gain boost converter. The proposed converter exhibits higher voltage gain, almost double, in comparison to the well-established conventional boost converter. A steady-state analysis is made, and then converter elements design expressions are established. These design expressions are then used to design a 24 to 100 V, 50 W prototype. Steady-state performance proposed converter is compared with other high-gain dc-dc converters. Simulation and experimental results are presented to validate the proposed design. Experimental measurements are in close correlation to simulation results.
