Abstract
We split the population into different categories based on their socioeconomic attributes and investigate the effect of passenger characteristics on the valuation of travel time variability using two presented scheduling models, referred to as “step” model and “slope” model. Income, gender and age are taken into consideration, and the effects of the three attributes on travel time, departure time and arrival time evaluation are discussed.
