Abstract :
Simple analytical models of the switched reluctance motors (SRM´s) can be very useful in real-time control if they are quite accurate. Such a simplified analytical model, based on geometry data and aligned flux linkage characteristic calculated via 2D-FEM is developed in the paper and compared with some other models which are also quite easy to be implemented in a real-time control system of a switched reluctance motor (SRM). The models´ based calculated characteristics are compared with the ones obtained on the test bench, or by magnetic field calculation via finite element method (FEM) for a sample SRM. Finally the merits and the weak points of the models are evinced.
