Abstract :
In this paper the complete state of the art of UWB is presented, ranging from the theory of the wireless channel, measurements, channel modeling the use of UWB in multiple antenna systems. This work presents preliminary results of a measurement campaign accomplished in the Technical University of Cartagena. Measurements were performed from 2 GHz to 5 GHz using a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), and they focus especially on two parameters which are very important in any digital wireless system: the path loss and the rms delay spread.
