The Fukushima nuclear power plant crisis reminds us that we live in a fast-growing and fragile world. Today, more than ever, Quality, Reliability, Risk, Maintenance, and Safety are issues that must be addressed for all engineering systems. There is a growing demand for components, systems, and installations with high reliability and long life.
