Abstract :
The paper presents a possibility of a video signal compression, namely the three-dimensional discrete cosine transform is under consideration. The video encoder based on this method transforms the input picture elements into the frequency coefficients from grope of N frames at once. Thus, the further methods for time compensation are no longer needed. In the paper the computation limitations of the encoder are presented followed by the personal computer based testing.
