  • Abstract
In this paper, a new scheme of design for omni-directional microstrip antenna (OMA) is proposed. An prototype of the antenna with 11-section is designed and fabricated for 2.3GHz~2.7GHz WiMAX CPE application. Both simulated and measured results have shown that the antenna has a good performance in gain, omni-directivity and broad bandwidth. Moreover, the designed antenna is also readily manufactured and easy to use because of its new housing scheme. The advantages of the antenna make it superior obviously to conventional OMA antennas in engineering values.
