The Method of Selecting Intellectual Property Strategy for Non-State-Run S&T Enterprises in China

Abstract :
Intellectual property (IP) strategy is a systematic system which includes copyright, trademark, patent and IP human resource strategy. These sub-systems are independent and also interact with each other. Nowadays, it is urgent for non-state-run scientific & technology enterprises in China to establish their IP strategy, because their products have high-technology and also easy to copy. This paper concluded the models of enterprise´s IP strategy first, and proposed that IP strategy should be based on IP strategy guiding map which is based on the enterprise´s market share and its IP competitiveness. Further more, this paper claimed that the appraising system of IP should be based on patents and trademarks of the enterprise. It chooses nine indexes and use OWA operator to bring forward the method to appraise the enterprise´s IP competitiveness and discussed the methods of implementing the IP strategy in details.
