Abstract :
A new DRA has been investigated in this paper. It is a hybrid DRA with a U slot antenna. The antenna is promising for the 5.2/5.8 GHz wireless applications. The antenna has good radiation characteristics over the operating bandwidth which is 30% covering the 5.2/5.8 GHz wireless application. The average antenna gain is 5 dB which is good enough for such an application.
