The International Competitiveness Analysis of China Telecommunication Operators

This paper aims at setting up one suite of evaluation indicator system which is objective and quantifiable from the view of financial report information disclosure for further analysis and utilization. Furthermore, this paper selects China six major operators as the research object which include China Telecom (CT), China Mobile (CMCC), China Netcom (CNC), China Unicom (CU), China SATCOM (CSC) and China Railcom (CRC). The comparison for the international competitiveness of selected typical operators will be analyzed by each indicator and The comprehensive calculation of international competitiveness based on Entropy weighting method will be taken in order to evaluate the competitiveness of China major operators and to find the gaps and disadvantages. Also the "bottle-neck" of the competitiveness will be described so as to dig out the root reasons and the way for improvement.
