Abstract :
An identification method for a nonlinear system using PWL (piecewise-linear) systems is proposed. An adaptive parameter identification scheme with adaptive observers is used. In the adaptive laws, the continuity of the PWL model is taken into account. Since it is assumed that the available data for a given nonlinear system are its input and output time series, this problem setting is practical
