Abstract :
In this paper, the authors analyze the receiving and transmitting patterns of Hertzian dipoles embedded within magnetic photonic crystal (MPC) unit cell ensemble. The authors demonstrate that a rather thin MPC assembly achieves unidirectional radiation with non-reciprocal receiving/transmitting patterns. The authors also propose a simpler unit cell structure to realize the phenomena.
