This paper is a result of a R&D project under development at OGMA,SA-Portugal which consists in the development and evaluation of an automated engine (turbo-prop) diagnostics system using state-of-art technology. This paper focuses on technical issues raised and system architecture used (software and hardware) to create this challenging system
