Abstract
VXIbus is an important data acquisition hardware platform for both military and civilian testing programs. Being modular in nature, VXI-based systems lend themselves to a wide variety of applications. However, because of this versatility, significant effort can be expended to set up and run a particular test. Operating under Windows(R) NT, a new software package called DAQ DirectorTM, allows a user to configure a system and to acquire, display and archive the acquired data easily and without any programming. This software application can be coupled with popular data analysis packages, such as DADiSP(R) or MATLAB(R), or with the LabVIEW(R) visual programming environment
