Abstract :
Specific electromagnetic actuators are now widely used. In order to meet design constraints in terms of performance and cost, the studies of such converters must be carried out using dedicated models. This paper deals with the study of a permanent magnet actuator with Multiple Degrees of Freedom (MdoF). A first prototype of this device has been built using simplified procedures and presents non negligible force ripples. Using a 3D-FEM model and previous results, a reduction of these ripples is performed. The effects of the reduction are then presented and discussed.
