Abstract
In this paper, a novel programmable UWB transmitter is proposed. The proposed UWB transmitter mainly consists of a programmable cell composed by D registers based on split output true single-phase clock (TSPC) latch and a time-interleave digital-to-analog (TIDAC) converter, fabricated in the SMIC 0.18¿m RFCMOS technology. The transmitter can easily change the pulse shape by ten points to adapt to different antennas and environment. The repetition rate can reach to 100Mpps in the simplest pulse type. Transmitter consumes less than 50mW and has a size of about 700¿m~800¿mm.
