Abstract :
In this paper, we propose new techniques for CDMA/MIMO systems that employ multiple spreading codes. Rather than assigning each transmit antenna a different spreading waveform, the data to be transmitted on a given signaling interval determines which spreading waveforms will be used by each transmit antenna. Compared to a more conventional approach, which employs fixed spreading waveforms for each transmit antenna, our approach provides bit error rate performance improvement at moderate and high Eb/No.
