  • Abstract
A neural signal electronics bridge integrated circuit(IC) with adjustable gain for biomedical applications has been designed and realized in CSMC´s 0.5 ¿m CMOS technology. A recording circuit with adjustable gain, a buffer stage, and a stimulating circuit constitute the neural signal electronics bridge circuit. The neural signal electronics bridge IC occupies a die area of 0.85 mm×0.8 mm. The circuit can operate under double power supply ± 2.5 V with a power consumption of 2.5mW. The simulation results show that the gain can be variable from 40 dB to 100 dB, the 3 dB bandwidth is 54 kHz, and the output resistance is as low as 6.8 ¿, equivalent input noise is 32.3 nV/sqrt(Hz) from 100Hz to10 KHz.
