Abstract
This study was to identify the remedial aspect and develop remedial software to help remedial students needing assistant solving negative number subtraction operation involving two integers in order to meet their unique needs. The respondent of this study were five mathematics teachers and 124 students aged 14 years old from Malaysian secondary school. Further analysis revealed that the sentence questions instrument used can be segregated into four categories with respect to its special characteristics. With that, the process of manually creating such remedial types of sentence questions is tedious and time consuming even impossible to randomizing the questions for each student automatically. Thus, remedial software was developed and this paper is about sharing that finding and discussing how it will be a part of the process of remediation for negative numbers subtraction operation involving two integers integrating meta-cognitive/constructivism approach which will support meaning making by remedial students through a process of visualization of information which will be learned by doing and reflecting on it.
