Abstract
Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.
The presenting author of this paper has the option to appeal this decision by contacting TPII@ieee.org.
In order to study the blanking mechanism for precision progressive die, a plane-strain rigid-plastic finite element model is established to simulate the deformation process. To verify the simulation result, the corresponding experiment is also carried out. According to the finite element analysis result, the hydrostatic stress state of the shear zone in blanking process using precision progressive die is different with the general blanking one´s because of the strong pressure-pad-force. It makes the parts produced by precision progressive die obtain better sheared edge.
