Abstract
The proposed amplifier is a modification of the two-stage Meyer-Blauschild configuration. Through the use of two independent bias current sources and an interstage buffer, the design of AC parameters such as input impedance, gain, and output impedance become independent. In addition, the bias and AC parameter design are loosely coupled in the new amplifier. This allows one to develop a new approach to the design of wide-band amplifiers similar to that of systems with operational amplifiers.
