  • Abstract
    A hybrid approach to analyzing a complex planar structure with a nonlinear element is presented-that is, in the linear case, the method of lines is used to get a rigorous field analysis for complex structures. In the nonlinear case, the harmonic balance technique is used to increase computation speed. A multidimensional lookup table is used to obtain hybrid-mode transmission-line electrical characteristics which are necessary for both linear and nonlinear usage
