Abstract :
The standpoint of this paper lies in the study of family planning services at China´s county-level. The hurdles that existed in mainstreaming gender equity in the family planning institutions indicate the needs for setting up a set of indicator system to measuring the gender equity. For this purpose, a literature review, experts´ consultation, and field researches have been carried out to propose an operational conception of the gender equity in family planning/reproductive health services and to explore the dimensions of measuring the gender equity. On the basis of these work, a model to measure the dimensions of gender equity in family planning/reproductive health are proposed. The analysis of results indicates that the analytic model of evaluating system has three-degree, four-dimension with 16 indicators.
