  • Abstract
We demonstrate the femtosecond Faraday effect in Cd0.88Mn0.12Te single crystals and its implementation in room-temperature magneto-optical sampling. Our technique is highly sensitive and capable of measuring sub-picosecond magnetic transients generated by a free-standing LT-GaAs photoswitch.
