Abstract :
Ball and beam system is a typical nonlinear and instable system, being a safe experimental platform of automatic control, it is an ideal tool for verifying and developing various advanced control algorithms. Its optimizing control processes can contribute to the research of other nonlinear systems. For the defects of stability error, oscillating and slowness in system response under traditional control methods, here designing an interpolation-based fuzzy controller. Simulation and on-line control experiments indicate that all the existing defects have been rectified remarkably.
