Abstract

An expert system for continuous monitoring and central supervision of the Italian 450-MHz radio mobile network is described. The system, named ERMAS (Expert Radio Mobile Assistance System), is a real-time interactive monitoring expert system. It has been designed and installed in all radio mobile centers to facilitate and improve the monitoring of alarms from different center maintenance sections. The system controls and manages the entire network from a national supervision center. This center receives synthesized data from radio mobile centers and shows them on a graphic screen
