Abstract
This paper presents the establishment of the linearized Phillips-Heffron model of a power system installed with an interline power flow controller (IPFC). A damping controllers based on the Phillips-Heffron model are designed for damping low frequency oscillations in a power system with considering four alternative IPFC based damping controllers. Selection of effectiveness damping control signal for the design of robust IPFC damping controller to variations in system loading carried out through SVD method. For this investigation, Matlab/Simulnk software package is used as study tool.
