The application of CAAD technology in regional architectural renewal

With the expatiation of the history and current situation of the application of computer-aided architectural design technology, the paper shows that the previous application mode of “computer-aided design drawing” has been dramatically shifted to the mode of “computer-aided design thinking” during the past decades. Taking the example of the regional hotel design in Qingming bridge historical district in Wuxi, China, the paper discusses the methods and process of applying computer-aided architectural design technology in regional architectural renewal from the cross perspectives of computer graphics, architecture and art design.
