Abstract :
Discusses the advantages in the fusion of various intelligent techniques, such as fuzzy, evidential reasoning, neural or genetic algorithms, with intelligent agents, to produce hybrid systems. Applications in this paper focus on the area of land defence. In particular, intelligent agents are used to improve the robustness of one proposed methodology using evidential reasoning for deriving the course of actions from surveillance observations. Also, a brief discussion is presented on future applications of the hybrid systems to be implemented in existing war game simulations
