Abstract
Based on the CST software, numerical simulations are carried out for the frequency response in a coaxial Bragg structure with tapered ripples. Results show that the bandwidth of the frequency response can be either narrowed or expanded, which depends on the tapering angle, and that the residual side-lobes of the frequency response can be effectively suppressed by employing the windowing-function technique. These characters of a tapered coaxial Bragg structure are favorable to improvement of the performance as a reflector or a filter in its application.
