Abstract :
To effectively solve car body parts welding and assembly process problems, a quick car body part retrieval system was proposed by using modularization. According to the feature of parts, BIW parts´ feature information is encoded and an effective similarity calculation method is put forward. An effective welding manufacturing information model was established. The parts with a high similarity could be quickly retrieved through the method. And a case study indicates the effectiveness of this methodology.
