Abstract
A wideband bipolar doubler and high-sensitivity regenerative divider with precise I-Q phase tuning via a dc bias control are described. Measurements in the 5-6GHz band demonstrate that negligible residual phase noise is added by the circuit, which has an active area of just 0.26×0.11mm2, consumes 23mW at 2.7V and has a simulated phase tuning range of ±22° with 0.04°/mV sensitivity.
