Abstract
The capability of recognizing the operating context and of assessing the situation in real-time is needed, if a high functionality intelligent autonomous system (IAS) is to react properly and effectively to continuously changing situations and events, either external or internal, while the system is performing its assigned tasks. A new approach and architecture for context recognition and situation assessment module (CORSA) is presented
