Abstract :
This paper presents a new enhanced model for organic photodiodes and solar cells, which is based of the equivalent circuit. The model uses a light-dependent current. The diode is modeled using the standard silicon diode model containing the emission coefficient n1, the saturation current IS1, the recombination current IS2, the recombination emission coefficient n2 and a constant ohmic resistance. For simulation purpose the constant resistance can be included in the diode model in Spice. Simulation results show that if the series resistor changes slightly its value with increasing voltage, the measurement can be fitted even better to a given data set, than with a constant resistance value.
