Abstract :
The basic approach of transformation electromagnetics, in which coordinate transformations on electromagnetic fields can be physically realized with complex materials, has been applied to yield a wide range of electromagnetic devices that until now would have been almost inconceivable. Only recently has the transformation electromagnetics concept been extended to include sources. In the authors analyze how electromagnetic currents and charges behave under coordinate transformations and demonstrate analytically how this can be used to design novel conformal antennas. This idea was further demonstrated in numerical simulations in. The theory presented in, however, contains several errors, and we present the correct equations here.
