Abstract
This paper indicates a simulation-mechanism-based classification method for computational intelligence by reviewing on instincts of CI and existed classification methods. Therefore, the organic mechanism simulation class is discussed, as well as nonlinear mapping models for branches are depicted respectively. Our work not only has the great academic meaning for understanding the essence of CI and relationships among all methods, but also provides guidance for specific CI applications.
