Abstract :
Mutual coupling reduction technique using novel soft surface structures has been investigated. Conventional soft surface structures are made on the ground plane of the antenna. But this new structure does not require a ground plane, it has very simple structure. It shows better mutual coupling reduction characteristic than conventional soft surface structures. This structure can be applied for surface wave reduction in the microstrip antenna design.
