Abstract :
In this paper a graphical application has been presented that attempts to visualize the data stored in a database. A database can contain huge amounts of data but the inherent problem is that this data needs to be visualized to show interrelationships and interdependencies among data items. In this paper we have taken the database of a leading research journal and used it to depict data and its relationships in the form of phylogenetic tree and mesh. The paper presents the database design, features and implementation details of the application so that it can be extended to other similar applications.
