Abstract
In navigational system, it is important to provide a user with flexible and fast query processing without a search failure as well as to find optimal paths guiding the user to a destination. If a user has to repeat submitting a query several times, the user cannot be satisfied with the system. In this paper, the categorized data search (CDS) method is adopted in the query processing layer in order to respond to the query by finding a destination fast and exactly. CDS actualizes comprehensive query processing system. It shortens query response time by reducing the quantity of data to be searched and recognizes the meaning of words in a query. Simulation results show that CDS reduces query response time and raises the success rate of destination search comparing to the simple string-matching algorithm.
