We demonstrate a waveguide-optical-isolator-monolithically-integrated distributed-feedback laser diode with 1543.8 nm single mode emission and 4 dB optical isolation based on the nonreciprocal loss in the semiconductor optical amplifier waveguide with Fe thin film
