Abstract

In Europe, the air transport contribution to the GDP is about 2.6%, while the surface transport represents 11% of GDP. In the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development, one of the thematic area is dedicated to the transport systems, with a budget of 4180 million euro. The paper presents a multi-attribute decision model that could be applied to the management of the urban transport system. A pilot will be implemented in Bucharest city.
