Abstract :
There are many ways for distance measurement, such as ultrasonic, infrared and laser. Based on the advantage of laser, such as good monochrome, strong directivity, high integration, it can not only work day and night, but also can improve measurement accuracy and reduce power dissipation, so it enable the measurement of long-range goals into realities. Taking the advantage of TDC-GP2-chip high accuracy, as well as pulsed laser ranging scope of big advantages, this paper designs a laser rangefinder of telescope pattern based on TDC-GP2 and introduces the soft and hardware implement in detail. This paper also introduces how to eliminate blind spots in the measurement and data processing and so on. The system is suitable for measuring accuracy of up to mm level. The research makes contribution to long-range laser ranging system.
