Abstract :
In this paper, for the usefulness to the performance improvement of the photovoltaic (PV) array and inverter and their design, construction, and post-operation and management, which can become the key elements for the future PV system, the performance characteristics of the 50 kW grid connection PV system in Korea was evaluated and analyzed. According to the result of the evaluation and analysis, the PV array showed about 10% of the efficiency. Cy with more than 400 W/m2 in the irradiation, and the inverter was indicated to operate as more than 90% in the efficiency regularly when the irradiation was more than 400 W/m2. The capture losses (Lc) were about 0.9h/d, the system losses (Ls) were 0.3h/d, and the performance ratio was more than 70%, indicating that the system was in stable operation. In addition, while the Ls rapidly dropped due to the efficiency characteristics of the inverter, when the reference yield was more than 5.0h/d, the performance ratio markedly declined, as the Lc fast increased due to the rise of the temperature.
