Abstract
VANETs are emerging as new network environments for developing future automotive applications. Numerous research issues have recently been identified and should be tackled before real implementations of pervasive vehicular applications and services. The design and the implementation of efficient and scalable routing protocols constitute one main issue. In this paper, we study and evaluate the performance of a geographical protocol in VANETs using real vehicle mobility scenarios. Performance metrics such as the control load and the average latency are evaluated using ns2.
